Day 28: Body scan
Congratulations! You've made it to Day 28 of our Learn the Ropes personal challenge!
For our final activity, Christine from Evolution Pilates & Yoga Studios teaches how to do a body scan.
"Challenges are often opportunities for us to grow, and I hope you've learned the tips and tricks to grow throughout the last few weeks! Doing a body scan is a great way for you to release stress and let go of any feelings or emotional states that don't feel good for you.
We're going to scan our energy from the top of our heads all the way down to our toes. As you take a deep breath, scan the way you feel starting at the top of your head, almost like an elevator slowly moving down your body. As you do this, allow yourself to pause and release any tension wherever you feel that the elevator is sticking. Relax your muscles and joints on the way down.
When you reach your toes, move the elevator back to your head, and then repeat the slow movement back down. This is a great exercise for you to use in whatever situation you need! When you body scan, you're able to bring yourself back to your centre. "
