Day 15: Brain dump
Doing a brain dump is a quick way to clear your mind of any lingering clutter. A brain dump involves writing down everything on your mind - tasks, worries, ideas, random thoughts - without filtering or organizing them. This process reduces feelings of overwhelm by getting thoughts out of your head and onto paper, where they feel more manageable. It can also boost your focus by helping you identify priorities and let go of distractions. Best of all, it requires nothing more than a pen and paper or a digital note app.
To try a brain dump, set a timer for five minutes and write continuously about whatever comes to mind, no matter how big or small. Don’t worry about grammar, structure or making sense - just let your thoughts flow.
Once you’re finished, take a moment to review what you’ve written. You might find that certain tasks or ideas stand out, which you can then organize into a to-do list or action plan. Alternatively, you can simply leave the brain dump as is and enjoy the mental relief of knowing your thoughts are captured and no longer taking up space in your mind.
